Storage Procedures

Carnall Removals are committed to providing the most cost effective storage solutions for all types of storage requirements. No matter how big or small, we can store it all.

First step

All items are ticked off on the paper work when removed from the truck, to ensure all items are accountable.

Lounges and arm chairs

When storing lounges and arm chairs, Carnall Removals has specially built lounge racks to provide the best protect possible. All lounges and arm chairs are stored on their feet on the racks, then they are wrapped with plastic and calico to prevent soiling.

Refrigerators and freezers

Refrigerators and freezers are stored in the upright position.  The door’s are chocked open to provide appropriate ventilation, this well help prevent mould or an odour forming in the refrigerator or freezer. They are then wrapped to prevent scratches or any other damages forming.

Painted, polished and upholstered furniture

All painted, polished and upholstered furniture will be wrapped with the appropriate wrapping material to prevent scratches or any other damages forming.

Filing cabinets and wardrobes

Filing cabinets and wardrobes will be placed in upright position and when possible they will be locked with keys securely attached to the filing cabinet or wardrobe. Then they are wrapped with the appropriate wrapping material to prevent scratches or any other damages forming.

Boxes

All boxes are stacked appropriately, with the heavier boxes at the bottom and lighter boxes at the top. No heavy items will be placed on top of boxes containing fragile personal effects.

Loose items

Loose items such as brooms, mops, garden tools, dismantled outdoor play equipment etc, are taped in bundles then wrapped and stacked appropriately.  Other loose items are wrapped and stored appropriately to prevent and damages.

Final Step

The store stack will be double checked to ensure every item is secure and then the stack is wrapped with calico to prevent soiling. A label is then taped to the calico with your name and load details.
